Speaking Of Neglectful Relationships
Man I'm so bad at this blog thing now. I'll work on it.
Last weekend was nice. It was great to get out for a while. Hung around the airport for a while because my Mom and Grandparents were all getting into town about the same time as me. Made for a late night. Golf Tournament (Bachelor Party) on Friday morning. My cousins kept buying me beer. I just don't drink that much. So after 5 hours of golf I ended up being pretty tired. Rehearsal dinner that night, and an early bed time/late waking time.
Saturday ran back towards the home turf for a haircut, then 45 minutes back to take pictures of the wedding party. The wedding was very nice, although it had to moved indoors. I was so incredibly tired during the reception. Got back to the hotel and de-tuxed and was ready to crash when I got an interesting phone call.
At first I thought she was just responding to my text from Monday. About 5 minutes into the conversation I find out that she had been broken up with that morning. (apparently her ex had forgotten Valentines Day and she was angry with him and it went from there.) Kinda caught me off guard. Why call me? I couldn't tell if she was fishing for sympathy or if she really wished we were still together or if she finally understood how I felt a month ago. It was a pleasant conversation, mostly because I was tired and probably a little buzzed from all the alcohol from the weekend.
Next morning I head to church to catch up with all the boys and girls of Mission Del Sol. She was mad at me, I thought it was still because of my rant, but I guess I didn't really greet her when she arrived and that was the problem. All was forgiven.
It was just as if we went back in time for 4 hours. All that flirty boyfriend girlfriend stuff.
The whole youth group gang grabbed Burger King and went to check out Aaron's new house and watch movies. When it was time for me to head out, she had to go outside with me to the car (because she was wearing my jacket, greatest excuse to leave the room I've ever heard). We chatted for a minute, then we kinda just hugged for minute or so. I let her go and she looks right through my eyes and straight into my heart. I can tell exactly what she wants without hearing a single word.
We kissed. Once again we're back together.
I couldn't have stopped myself if I wanted. I looked into her eyes for an eternity of 2 seconds and I could see how hurt she was from the previous day, how she wished we could have still be together. The same thing I felt.
I'll continue later...
